Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office For her role, she was awarded an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance in An Ensemble Comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was younger, which instilled a love for theater and performing.
Fischer is an actress with theatre training. In the Off-Broadway Play Reasons to Be Happy composed by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. Then she starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's debut world premiere.
Angela Kinsey from The Office (the character mate to Fischer) as well as her actual best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and is now in the Top Ten every single week. Its first year, it received over 200 million downloads. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life was her debut book that details the journey she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood which is where she discovered her calling as an actress professionally. Her second, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her most beloved friend and her experience in The Office.
